I recently changed my Aerial as I have the fault code. Checked all the connections that I can, and still have the issue. So reception down here in the West country is very poor. I have been using my phone to stream, but as no Blue tooth its a bit of a pain, and again in the W country our phone signal is can quite intermittent, once you are off the M5. Any thoughts on this gratefully received please.

What fault code do you have?

Have you checked wiring possible cuts then?

have checked as best I can under the headlining when changing the aerial and the plug is properly connected. As far as I know the only other connection is on the head unit. Have seen quite a bit on line , I am coming to think that the head unit is just very poor or has a fault ?

Not sure if head unit could be faulty..

Open circuit indicates there is no antenna connected or the wire is somewhere broken..

You could pull the unit from dash out and install another antenna if you could find and quick-test for the fault if would gone.

Perhaps antenna is damaged.

What is the head unit?

Disconnect cable at both ends and do a continuity test.

 

Perhaps its not connected at the head unit.
