Rear disc and pads

Cheers for the video looks easy apart from the rear bolts but may have a look to see how easy they undo, just need to source some disc, thanks again

Steve

another word of warning.... I tried to replace the rear discs and pads on my Superb and it was a complete disaster. I've done it on many cars in the past but this time....the ABS, hill holder, handbrake and the self adjusting pads conspired against me (I'm still not sure if it was one or all of these TBH).

I got the old pads and discs off, but the piston rewinding tool wouldn't move the pistons back into the caliper. After hours of faffing around I put the old ones back on to find I had somehow got air into the system, and had to sheepishly take the car to the mechanic to fix my ****-up.

It is a straight forward job Any competent garage will be able to do it for you.

You just cant get the purchase necessary to break the multispline they are on really tight when vehicle is jacked up
You need a combination of extension bars with a good wobbly to get the correct angle on to the head of the bolt or you risk stripping it then in even worse trouble.

So much so I have fitted a couple of the same set up to some Taxis I look after.
They are high carbon content as well so dont show the signs of rusting if left for a week
I can get you the part numbers and supplier I got them from if you wish

Price and links below
Mine are 312 mm front  £99.49

rears 286 £59.49
Contact the supplier with reg just to make sure they will fit your carB)

Thats a good price for 4 discs and full set of  pads from Zimmerman
