Dash Cam Wiring

Featured Replies

Hi All

I've hard wired a Nextbase 312GW dash into my Fabia but I can't seem to find a "switched" fuse which will turn the power off to the dashcam once the ignition is off. Has anyone else fitted a dashcam to their MKIII and managed to get this working. If so, which fuse did you use?

Cheers :)

I used the one reserved for heated seats (Which I don't have).

I think it was number 26.

When I fitted mine to my Octavia, the fuse that other's had said to use seemed to be permanently live so I tested others with a multi-meter until I found one that was switched live.

I got the switched fuse from

this thread and it works perfectly.

I used this unused fuse port in the end. Not sure which number it is. But didn't require piggy backing. Image copied from another forum post. Thanks @steslatt :)
