Hi All

 

I have noticed that the master window switch in the driver's door does not operate the front passenger window properly.

 

It doesn't put the window up or down but seems to cause an intermittent clicking noise in the front passenger door as if it is trying but the window doesn't move.

 

All the other windows work correctly from the driver's door master switch and the front passenger window works perfectly with the passenger door window switch.

 

Any idea of how to fix this?

I would suggest switch problem (driver's side).

Try Phillips contact cleaner (or any relevant) spray , it worked for me in previous cars..

Cheers. Will start with that.

Not had a chance to take the switch out yet to check it out but got some info from swmbo.

 

It seems that the rear passenger side doesn't work right from the master switch either. Both front and rear passenger windows go down but won't go back up again if you put them right down. If they are partially down, they go back up.

 

The windows work perfectly from their own switches so the mechanisms seem to be fine.

 

I am assuming I may need a new switch. Does anyone have the part number?

 

Are they easy to remove?
