Android Auto - Maps touch screen problem

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I've had a look around on here and I can't see anything similar...

A couple of weeks back a problem started with Android Auto. Specifically with Google Maps. The panel on the left where you can access routes, mute etc doesn't respond to touch input.  Waze is simar.

Other Android apps don't have a problem with touch in the same screen area and the native Skoda stuff is fine.

I've tried turning off the hi-res tweak but this had no effect.

Has anyone else come across this?

Thanks

Dave

Will it only let you input stuff if the car is NOT moving?

Thanks AG Falco

recently AA implemented a touchscreen freeze after a number of touch counts have been exceeded - like 5 or something.

happens in the maps, phone and music screens.

only kicks in when the car is moving.

There is a "button" issue with Samsung Note 9  [Note 9] Button/nav bar freezes or disappears and becomes unresponsive

Not that specific issue but one of the posts suggested dropping the notes screen resolution down from WQHD+ to a lower setting.  Worked like a charm, all back to normal. Will have to check if they have resolved it periodically.

Cheers!
