206kw sportline vibrate when idle

Featured Replies

Hey guys

I bought a new superb 206kw sportline. Got 2000km on the clock now. When the car is idling, it vibrate a bit. Way more than my old audi a6. Just wondering if anyone else does the same? Also when accelerate gentally, it does the same. Hope someone can help me. Not sure if it's normal or not. If I should take it to the dealer. Cheers

Where is the vibration coming from?  Does this happen when you're on the move too.  Does it happen anywhere else in the rev range?

You're still in the 'snagging period' for the car so get the car booked in to your dealers.

So it happens when the rev drop below 1000. I got my arm on the centre arm rest and can feel the vibration. Just my audi a6 had no vibration at all when idling. Might take it into the dealer and see what they think. Cheers

Definitely do that.

Don't be surprised if you get a 'they all do that' or 'we can't find anything'. I've got a rough block, on coasting, feels lumpy, they can't replicate or feel it... I can they refuse to come out with me to check. But I don't have any warranty, so definitely push :D I did have a vibration on an older superb too, but only under load at 3k in the haldex tranny.

Thanks for that. Mine came with a 5 year warranty so I will take it in. But I want to know if anyone else's 206kw sportline does the same? So when they say they all do that, I can tell them no, they don't.

Mine had 3 vibrations, which would manifest in a different rev range/conditions and at different areas of the car.

My local dealer has fixed one (passenger/left side door card rattle),  and committed to fixing the other two.   None of which come from the centre console area.

It's worth taking a video when the problem occurs which you can show the dealer, just in the case the problem doesn't occur when the dealer investigates; which happened to me when the dealer had the car for a day. I've since (yesterday) submitted video 'evidence' which the dealer is currently reviewing.

When idling, the whole car vibrates. I mentioned centre console as I have my arm on it. But I can feel the vibration on the door panel as well. Just my a6 didn't do that. It was very smooth. Hence the reason why I asked if its normal or not. Cheers
