Hi,

Can anyone tell me what socket I need to help get the oil filter top off please.

32mm comes to mind, not sure if some are 27 though.

A tape measure or ruler will confirm

Just changed my filter & it was 32mm.

Get a hexagonal socket so it doesn't chew up the plastic nut.

19mm for the sump plug...

Dipstick Plastic Broke off into sump

Hi, Today whilst pulling out the dipstick to check the oil level on my Mk1 VRS a 1cm or larger piece of the dipstick plastic on the dipstick handle (just below) broke off and went down the dipstick hole before I could grab it. As it was so large is it ok to leave in the sump until the next oil change (assuming it comes out) or is it going to be a big issue? I had to drive quite a long way today also after this happened. What is the likely outcome of this being in the sump? Would it melt? W

I've had this for a while but totally forgot about it, as I already jack my car where the document says to. Hi guys, I'm loosing my mind. 7 mechanics and no fix. 2022 2.0tsi Kodiaq (DNNA engine code) 40k miles Despite being under warranty, I'm already out of pocket £1550 because "there is nothing wrong with the car". How do I save the settings?

Kodiaq 2026 PHEV I set the lane control to 'Off', set the alert control to 'off', and various other settings that I want. But when I next switch the car on, all my settings are lost and I have to re-set them. This is a complete pain in the ass. How do I save the settings so that they stay set?
