Dtuk crd-t tuning box

Featured Replies

Please can anyone help. I bought a Dtuk tuning box that was used on an Audi A3 2.0 TDI cr170 manual. I'm wanting to use it on my 2009 Octavia Vrs 2.0 TDI CR Dsg auto. I'm worried there might be some differences because it was originally used on a manual. Or is there nothing to worry about? Thanks in advance

I was going to reply to you on Facebook but forgot, guess who lol, it'll be fine, they only do one for manual and DSG, you can get a box specifically for the DSG to tune the gear change but the actual tuning box is the same.

Cheers. The guy from Dtuk said it would a software update.. lol thank you for replying

They are talking poop as their own ad states 'suitable for manual and auto transmission' they are just trying to get cash for no reason, the engines are the same.

You — Please update your info
Does the DTUK box suit DSG
Simon@DTUK
Yes indeed it does. We tune a lot of dsg cars
Is it for the MK2 vrs?
You — Please update your info
so the manual and DSG boxes are the same as I have both and would like to switch between cars, both the same engines CR170 audi manual and VRS DSG
Simon@DTUK
No. The software is different for them
You — Please update your info
different for the gearbox or the car?
engines i mean
Simon@DTUK
The whole software file we load to the box is different
You — Please update your info
for the different engines
Simon@DTUK
Engine, gearbox type, age, all sorts of things are changed depending on the car
You — Please update your info
they are both the same year and both CR170's
Simon@DTUK
As i said, the software for the engine with dsg will be different to the manual
Did you purchase the system direct from us? if so can i please have your name and post code so i can find you on our system and advise you better, Thanks
You — Please update your info

Simon@DTUK
The software files would be different again for the audi compared to the skoda
You — Please update your info
Ok so I have to buy 2
or can 2 lots of software be loaded and switched between
Simon@DTUK
If you want to run both car with one, Yes you would
We can only add one type of file at a time
You — Please update your info
Ok thankyou

On the ad it doesn't give an option to pick DSG or manual and when you go to cart it doesn't either

I just bought one for a CR170 last year and I have no idea if it was for a manual or DSG and it's been working 100%

It makes sense that the parameters would be different and I can understand why there is no option on the purchasing cart, it would just add complication and could cause errors.

If you made a purchase they would definitely need all of your vehicle details, the VIN number and the ECU revision before programming the tuning box.

As has been said it will probably work and you might not even notice the difference, are you feeling lucky?

Whats with all the "you - please update your info" ?

I bought a remapped ECU on Ebay, the seller contacted me for all the details he needed before he could send it out.

The  "you - please update your info" was just the live chat box as I didn't give any details just chatted without.

The point was initially that I got the impression one box suits DSG and Manual as it states it on the site, the vin number I could see being asked but how are you going to supply an ECU revision?

These just plug into the fuel rail and boost and alter the signals from the ECU being a CR170 all engines will use the same fuel and boost parameters so will be universal, they also have multiple map setting so for a DSG it would probably just be recommended not to exceed X map.
