Sorcerer7 - My new Car

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

Like I said on my presentation, I'm from Portugal (Oporto) and this week I change from Opel Astra H Caravan 1.3CDTI 90Hp to Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI 140Hp with 239000Km.

Before I buy, I test and try to know everything about that car.

Now have to do something's to put it like I like, and like my wallet allows.

Here some photos like she is at this moment.

Some photos is from where I see it for first time.

At this moment I want to buy a VAGCOM Cable, to make some adjustments and check for errors.

Anyone knows version for that?

Best regards.

Assuming you want a new, genuine cable, the hex-v2 (3 vin edition) should be fine.

Thanks for your help, but assuming not?

On my Opel, I used one from ebay and it works very well.

To Skoda I see a lot of them, but some ones, says that don't work on Octavia (1Z).

The old KKL cables don't support CAN based cars like your Octavia.

Don't be based on non original cables.

You'll usually get an outdated software to use and there will be times you would wish you had the original (not cracked) - trust me.

It's not only reading faults and erase - you'll appreciate what this tool does and can do in the future for you and your vehicle.

Besides VCDS  (Vag-Com Diagnostics Software/Systems) receives quite often updates from Ross-Tech and this is generally good.

Also you can contact them directly in any questions and possible help you might need.

And as langers2k said above you'll have the ability to use it legally and originally in until 3 individual VAG vehicles and this will surely save you time and money when needed.

This is what believe.

It's up to you what you exactly want to do.
