For last 3 years been loving my brill Fabia vRS, but as kids insist on growing it's now up for sale.

This seemed like teh best replacement, arrived today

 

Gone for a manual box this time for a change. And I know we're not supposed to buy Diesels these days, but whoops....

Bought this from a SEAT dealer & they're not that familiar.

Can I ask the group pls:

• What's the correct oil to top up with?
• and what's the correct PSI for those tyres?

I did get the handbook out late last night + assumed cos of it's size it was in multple languages.. OUCH 300 pages of English...

I went Diesel as well, there not going anywhere too soon!  Tyre size should be behind the filler cap.

Correct oil is VW507  so that is 5w 30 Full Synthetic Long Life.

(Just what i advised you not to use in the Twincharger.)

No idea why a SEAT Dealership would not be familiar as they sell SEAT's with identical engines and the Techs in the workshop service them.

They could service your car but if there are mumpties on the service desk or even just in sales maybe best swerve them.

 

Tyre pressures in the filler flap as they were on the Fabia.

Pressure varies with use and what you feel like on the day. I have my 18s set to 38/30 (f/r) most of the time. 17s at 36/28. Up the rears if loading up.

Have to say.. very impressed with this car. Very civilised, lot's of buttons to play with. Very economical (..or..) rapid. Even sounds OK (though I expect that's synthetic!)

How does economy compare to your Fabia? Oh and performance too?

Hi! Welcome to VRS ownership! If your car and phone are paired over bluetooth then you can see SMS via the phone screen, little envelope at the bottom.

 

For whatsapp you will android auto or apple car play via smartlink. You may or may not have this, it looks like thats a 15 plate on the back? If it is Im not sure if it was available as an option before 2016 but you will need to check.

Performance way down, economy (can be) way up! As I exptected on both counts
