Mk II FL vRS replacement air filter

Featured Replies

Hi,

Please will someone confirm that I've navigated the K&N website correctly and that this is the correct high flow replacement filter for a 2012 petrol vRS?

https://www.knfilters.co.uk/search/product.aspx?prod=33-2865

Another option seems to be this (I think it's the right one for my engine)

Are there any other replacements filters I should consider?

Thanks.

That K&N air filter is the one in my car.

Not worth it.  For the same level of filtering the K&N oiled cotton filter flows no better than a clean OEM spec filter.  You also run the risk that an excessively oiled filter will contaminate the MAF.

If you have your heart set on an aftermarket filter you should get a dry one like the AFE Pro dry.  If u hunt around they can be had for about USD40-50

Thanks. Does the Octy have a hot wire MAF? Something I read said that those tend to be the ones that have problems with oiled filters.
