I started my 1.4 tsi today and it was around 2c so the fast idea kicked in, but once up to full temp it was still on , with the revs sitting at around 1000, tried turning off and leaving for 10 mins but to no avail.

The idle speed can be modified for a number of reasons (see my post below).

I would give it a few days to see if it goes back to 750rpm before contacting the dealer as its likely its perfectly normal & the ECU is just doing what its been designed to do.

It is for the 1.4 TSI

Fuel pump is also noisy 

Unless, its extremely cold (in the minus figures, -10, -20, -30) around 1000rpm will be the maximum
