Clutch replacement on 7 speed DSG

Featured Replies

I need a new clutch on my 62 plate fabia vrs, and mechatronic re-programming afterwards.

I know it’s a tricky and time consuming job compared to a normal clutch.

Any advise on where would be good to get this done, in the Midlands area, although I don’t mind travelling to somewhere good?

“A1clutches” have quoted £650 + vat.

Has anyone taken their car there?

Welcome.

Sorry not an answer to your question.

?

but who has diagnosed you need the clutch pack changed?

what is the issue with your DSG and has it had Service Campaign '34F7', so the oil changed for Mineral and a software update,

or did your car not require that?

?

Do you have a 'flashing spanner' warning light showing?

Hiya offski

The Skoda dealership diagnosed the jerky gear changes between odd and even gears as being a worn out clutch.

I guess they would have ruled those issues out.

Did you have to pay for that diagnosis and did they quote to do the job?

Was it a road test that was carried out?

Has your car had '34F7' carried out, there would or should be a sticker in the spare tyre well if done.

I’ll have to check that tomorrow.

Yeah had to pay for them to diagnose it.

They quoted £1200ish for the job.
