I've just retrofitted cruise control to my Mk4 Golf Tdi, I got the original VW parts brand new, unused & in the box comprising of new stalk & additional wiring loom for just £45 on ebay. The fitting procedure itself wasn't too difficult and it took me about three hours to complete although having done one I could probably do it again in half that time !

Anyway, I had to enable the cruise control via VAG-COM & I used the guide on the ross-tech site HERE to help me.

While I was on there I had a look to see if I could find a guide for enabling cruise control on a Fabia Tdi as I may consider retrofitting a kit to my wife's car, but I couldn't find it. :confused:

Maybe I just missed it but does anyone have a link to the process for enabling cruise control via vagcom on a Fabia Tdi PD100.... just in case you understand!

By the way, the cruise control on my Golf works a treat & I consider it a real bargain to have managed to retrofit it for just £45 all in !

What year Fabia? I believe that recent ones may need to have CC enabled using a dealer's 5051/2 rather than VAG-COM.

No problem, glad it was of use - that's why I do it

Also I think it is stated in the guide but you can enable CC with VAG-COM to ensure it will work before you buy the parts etc. You'll get a stored code, something like CC signal implausable but no CEL on the dash.
