AFS + foglights possible? Mod?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

having a S2 with adaptive frontlight system, is it possible to use AFS and switch on the fog lights?

Has already done a modification?

Do you mean switch on the ON position. Pulled out for fogs. AFS does not work ?

I saw that switch needs to be in AUTO position for AFS to function

Yes. AFS only works in Auto where the Fogs cannot work because the switch is locked.

Is there a way to modify the switch?

Someone already done this before?

Skoda must have changed their headlight switch functionality at some point. My 2016 Octavia and 2018 Kodiaq all allow the switch to be pulled out for the foglights when in the Auto position.

What is your use case?

Generally speaking the advantages of AFS are longer headlight range at speed which is not something that's useful in fog or other low-visibility situations where fog light usage would be warranted.

They did :(

Well...

I'd like to have options. I drive mostly country roads where I would like to have this and is often done.

For me that means loosing AFS :(
