Thanks but not what I am after.....don't want the paaaa tshhh dump sound. Just performance improvements :)

afaik its not a performance enhancing part and is designed to vent to atmosphere (hence muffler delete) which gives you the psssccchhhhttt sound. if you don't like that sound then a turbo muffler delete is not for you.

if you want performance improvements consider a replacement turbo inlet hose +/- changes to the air intake (the intake again may not give bhp gains but does make induction noise a bit more audible)

probably the best performance improvement i have made to date (other than a remap) is upgrading the front and rear antiroll bars. i can corner much more confidently than before and lots of extra bhp don't do much when you are going round a corner......

Good to know ref the delete, so thank you.

Just ordered a replacement inlet hose, turbo elbow and intake system and will sort the exhaust and remap in the new year.

I've just got rid of my E63 AMG, noise is not an issue, just don't want the pssscccchhhttt sound any more (even know its so awesome ha ha ha)

Encephalophathy is a bit mixed up, these definitely don't vent to atmosphere and do not have anything to do with the diverter valve. They bolt on to the turbo outlet, boost side, and replace the stock unit which has a muffler chamber to reduce turbo noise. I put one on mine and didn't notice any difference in performance, but it made the turbo sound nice

Interesting.....any chance you can record a video or sound of what it’s like?

No performance gain Hmmmmm so if you had one with an R600 intake system would you fit it or not  ?

Mines currently sitting in the shed, CBA to fit it till I get Christmas outta the way, its a shockingly ****e time of year to be a Postie

I'd definitely fit the R600 but probs wouldn't be bothered again with the turbo muffler... It's a bit if a pita to get to

Kinda thought so but, does it sound better or just louder

makes it sound a bit better and probably a little louder, but the intake elbow and filter made more of a difference tbh

hard to get the sound on a video though
