North Pole Electronics Company

Featured Replies

Apparently they are a subsidary company of SC Manufacturing and Logistics, based inside the Arctic Circle. I believe Amazon have been trying to out perform them over the years in terms of order to delivery times, but even Bezos cant get around the child labour laws in the way the CEO of SC Man & Log has managed - claiming they are an "Indigenous people genetically shorter than other races".

Anyway, NPEC do the R&D for all the electronics stuff that get shipped. Theyve been cutting corners though..

An RC car they supplied has had 2 trips to the garage already since Christmas morning...

First for a steering rack issue, the PAS motor jumped its restrictors. But after the trip the headlights werent working.. electrical fault somewhere.

So, i took it to an indy specialist, has a small workshop in the utility room. Took 3mins to diagnose and fix a poor solder joint on the pcb which had allowed the wire to separate, likely during the strip down for steering repairs.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of shoddy NPEC stuff? ;)

Have had a similar issue with some solar tree lights and an RC helicopter that were failing but a similar Indy in the utility room managed to fix them...   He's the same Indy that has previously done work on the RC cars and various Android tablets that are all now up and running properly again!
