Silly question regarding cornering fogs are these in addition to other cornering lights? I ask based on looking at individual driving mode options I found while playing with this the other day. Cornering lights, You are given options for normal or sport. The more I play with the whole settings the more I find.

I wonder what the difference is. From what I’ve read so far is the fogs have two bulbs installed in each so i assume one is offset to project to the side more for cornering.

Yes, cornering fogs (if enabled) are a separate system to the LED cornering lights within the main headlight unit.

On my 2016 VRS 220 I had the cornering lights, i.e. the main headlights would turn with the wheel. I had cornerinh foglights activated which came on with the wheel turning at low speed and when going round junctions etc. My leon used to do this as standard and I think there was an option for the 245.

Ok thanks, so guessing vcds-ing or obd11-ing cornering fogs gets you that option for 'free' then.

Im hoping so, Im not actually that clued up on what the FL codings are Im still learning, hopefully someone can shine some light. What Ive noticed is there isnt a definitive FL VCDS/OBD11 coding thread thad I can find

I had a little bit of free time this afternoon to tweak settings and I have enabled:

• HBA
• Side mirror tilt when reversing
• Lap time
• Fuel fill amount
• Virtual sub
• Traffic sign recognition

Is there anything else I should consider?

Ive seen mention of the new models coming without sound deadening under the bonnet, which is the case with mine.  Is it worth fitting https://www.skoda-parts.com/nahradni-dil/5e0863831a-engine-silencer-skoda-31317.html?

Also working on adding the speed camera POI's to the nav 

 

The kids feet on the back of the seats is going to be an on going challenge, but will just need regular cleaning I guess.  Im pleased with the purchase so far, wheel spin of junctions takes more judgement after being used to 4x4 and torsen diff.

@greg_s well done on cracking the traffic sign recognition. I sorted mine yesterday as well as HBA today. Other changes have just been small like activating the acoustic lock/unlock, enabling rear DRLs, changing the comfort blink value and the sound mods. I want to change the speed and light level of the HBA tomorrow once I find the values.

 

Do you have a copy of the coding you used for the mirror dip? I had someone else code it on my last car and I cant find it for my MY19!

The acoustic lock is exactly as you describe, I was missing it! 

 

Comfort blink I did yesterday was this.....

 

1.    Controller 09 ‘Central Electronics’, passcode 31347

2.    Adaptations

3.    Blinkersteuerung’

a.     Komfortblinkzyklen SET TO: between 2 and 4

4.    Reset lights to factory

 

I have the coding for HBA on a word file, I'll copy and paste it into a message for you. I havent tried it yet though, I havent been out in the dark. If I dont have a beer in the next hour I'll give it a try and then send you the coding

Passenger Mirror dip in Reverse HAS TO HAVE the mirrors switch positioned on L or it doesn't work
