Karoq RS ?

Featured Replies

This could be interesting if it gets launched this year - Google translated.

Damn Karoq is going to be a bit more powerful than Kodiaq RS

According to German magazine AutoBild, fans of fast cars from Škoda can look forward to Karoq RS, which should have more horses under the hood than larger Kodiaq RS.

That's how Škoda Karoq RS could look like X-Tomi designer.

Karoq should become the third model currently offered by RS, after Octavia and Kodiaqu, which was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in autumn 2018. [ full report ]

As stated by AutoBild, who came with this report, Karoq RS should be especially looking for those who do not fit the Kodiaqu RS diesel engine. Smaller Karoq should be powered by a 2.0 TSI petrol engine whose output should be around 300 hp and a torque of up to 380 Nm

Speaking of the Karoqu RS drive is more. Last year, it was said that such a version would be plug-in-hybrid, according to other speculation RS and plug-in hybrids should be two separate variants.

Probably the standard adaptive chassis and all-wheel drive, as well as Kodiaqu RS, will be written by the Germans. We should expect to be unveiled in 2019 and at least 40,000 euros (1.03 million crowns), at least in Germany.

And how could Karoq RS look like? For that, in May 2017, the Hungarian designer X-Tomi shone. You can see his creation at the top; combines the details of the Octavie RS with the Karoqu bodywork. The front bumper without the (in the field of vulnerable and otherwise unnecessary) lollipops looks perhaps a bit boring, but it would certainly be practical.

I’d be surprised if the Karoq RS ended

up with more power than the Octavia.

Easy enough to turn out a vRS Karoq alongside a CUPRA Ateca.   It gives Skoda some more magazine / social media ad space.

The Octavia really needs a new design platform as the current one has had it's facelift, so producing ones with a Hybrid / EV platform as Skoda winds down the diesels and reduces the petrol emissions.

I'm with you on that. Seeing as Skoda builds the Ateca and Karoq at its Kvasiny factory, adding the 300hp 2.0Tsi to the common chassis has already been done. After that work, doing a Karoq RS is primarily a brand engineering exercise.

Then again, if its a CUPRA then its a separate brand made with horny unicorns (or maybe its Unicorn horns?) and not really a Seat. It couldn't possibly be made in a Skoda factory. I bet its made in Xanadu by Olivia Newton John and her naked (but very, very naughty) sisters.

They'll have to do something about those wheels, they're HIDEOUS.

I do  like the lower part of the front end treatment. For me, something along those lines, is how the Karoq should have been, which is why I prefer the front of the Ateca.
