judder judder

Featured Replies

I started to drive home in my 'tavia vRS today (haven't driven it since Sat) and when I booted it in 4th or fith it seemed to judder??????? I can't understand only had it 2 weeks (2nd hand) and driven it about 2 times on long journeys (don't do pottering about either) didn't do it when I got it I guessed it might be because I had filled it with optimax  and when I needed a bit more motion lotion I used Esso super, but when I filled up with optimax again it didn't seem to do it????????? Could there be some mad ECU fuelling issues going on here????? As I have heard of peoples cars stutterin when they first put a different/higher octane rating of fuel, but I aint no engine guru so i'm confused

these had been replaced so surely not. Will give the dealers a ring tomorrow and I will als osee if it does it again. Does anyone know if there are any issues regarding mixing optimax with other fuels?????

Would guess coil aswell.

Mine (due for a service in 100miles) has been feeling rough all week, then this morning it finally has enough, car is drivable, but serious "judder"...best bet, drive a few miles see how it is then call the dealer and then call the AA, but not from home; a minor technicality...Last time I called them a chap arrived to change my oil; no it's coil and need a lorry to lift it to garage, we had a laugh and I worked a very late night.

No issues other than fiscal for swapping optimax and other fuels AFAIK, I have a right mix at present, optimax, sainsbuyrys, tescos and a top off with this new BP stuff...

But the car was feeling bad all week, pretty much as per last failure.

As to driving, the more you poush the less the effect appears, pulling off is troublesome (kind of, if your used to all 4 cyls and not waiitng for big gaps)

Hope it's sorted soon if it's not a coil.

Or empty tank recently, maybe debris dreged up...who knows.
