Heater not blowing warm ( Octavia mrk3)

Featured Replies

Hi, recently have no warm air blowing from heater?, but when switched on recycle cabin received warm air but at medium fan speed? This worked for a day. But now will not blow any hot air on either settings? Any ideas.?

I had no warm air back in September. It turned out to be a seized coolant check valve. A side effect was no coolant to my turbo, which then went pop. Best to have it checked before it becomes expensive!

I've a 2.0 TDI Octavia III and my Heater Matrix ended up being blocked which resulted in no heating on the drivers side, but there was still heat on the passengers side.

Looking into it, there's a couple of threads on here, where it seems the Heater Matrix is a common fault on the Octavia, aswell as the Golf Mk7

Not sure if this helps, but something to bear in mind.

Heater matrix is common fault. Is the coolant contaminated? This can cause the matrix to block

Thanks for the info. Seems that the cold air flap could’ve been stuck open, could hear a clicking noise from behind the radio, then started to get warm air? I’ve done the flap calibration numerous times, appears to be ok now, although it’s not as warm drivers side when on full blower

You could have just taken SWMBO with you then and told her that you'd spent £1000 on the credit card on something, you'd have been lovely and warm!

Actually you'd probably been roasted...
