Fabia VRS MK I boot remote opening gone screwy

Featured Replies

Hi All,

The battery recently went flat on my Fabia VRS Mk i, possibly due to the boot not being closed properly when the central locking was activated and the light staying on. Since charging it up, the boot no longer responds to the open and close buttons on the remote BUT does work with the boot release button if you press it twice. Weirdly enough, the boot release button never worked before this!!! Is there a way to resync the boot with the central locking? Both keys do exactly the same thing so it's not the usual resyncing a key jobbie....

Cheers

Rich

Suposing you have a set of 2 remote keys, maybe this wil help.

Insert key one to your ignition switch, and turn on to power, do not start engine.

Step out of the car, and close door.

Insert tje second key in your doorlock.

Lock the door and leave the key in on its neutral position.

Then push your release button 3 times.

Unlock your door by release button.

Change ignition key from key one to key two, and repeat procedure.

Maybe it works now.
