Suspension re-fresh - getting the right bump stops?

Featured Replies

I've been pooling some parts together ready to sort out the suspension on my VRS estate, but I'm struggling on the last few bits.

It's currently on H&R springs with standard shocks, and I've just received some Bilstein B4 Sport dampers from DPM Performance, and some new bottom arms with bushes (it's developed a knock which popped up as an MOT advisory)

My question is, how do I go about finding the right bump stops/dust covers for the Bilsteins? There must be 100+ options on AutoDocs!

I was considering these (based on the assumption that my VRS has "sports suspension")

Anyone got any opinions/suggestions?

If it’s of any assistance, the OEM bump stop part numbers for mine are:

Front - 1K0412303F

Rear - 3C0511359F

I re used the dust covers after cleaning them up so can’t help there.

Will also be looking at replacing my rear bump stops on my octavia sometime soon as mine have disentigrated.

Different car, but when I put b4s on my fabia I put monroe bumpstops/dust covers on the front and Sachs on the rear. They fit fine and were the same length and thickness. Not sure if the compound was different but had no problems in 2 years.

pretty sure they are still genuine only on these too
