Tyres Sizes

Featured Replies

Hi all

Whilst I am aware that the tyre choice thing has been done to death, I'm  confused as to why the 205/50 - 225/45 sizes used on various Oct vRS.

I have an 03 vRS which currently wears 205's on 17 rims, is this the standard size or have they been changed?

If 205's are standard, then could someone please explain the benefits of the change to 225's.

Thanks in advance

Wider tyre, better looking, more grip in the dry.

Thinner tyre, better fuel economy, better grip in wet/ snow (marginally)
