HI i was just wondering where the pollen filter is for the air into the car ad how do u get at it. Also where can i get a haynes manual or sililar for an octavia

Pollen filter is under the scuttle panel. Scuttle panel is the one where windscreen wipers come through. Do a search to find more details.

Yes, it's under the passenger side scuttle panel.

Remove the rubber seal across the top of the bulkhead, lift the front edge of the panel up by the bonnet hinge then carefully prise the panel up out of the channel at the bottom of the windscreen. There's no need to remove the rubber screen wash hose. The filter just lifts out of the housing.

It's on the passenger side.

yup! just done the same thing on the golf (same as octy) pain to get back in

If you use a hairdryer to warm the plastic scuttle it will be easier to remove/replace and less likely to crack or split.
