WTF where is the tyre pressure setting recorded?

Featured Replies

okat 30 mins in and i can't find this info anywhere. I only want to check my pressure setting and pump up a little if required. The car door say see you book.. the book says FA. any help appreciated. The index doesnt  help.. thers only an entry for tyres wear indicator.

fuel filler cap records pressures as PA of 2.7 or something else which has no meaning to me,.  I did find a page in the book lost now which gave values a through to e. wth that is no idea.  Just need PSI if anyone knows .. ta

2.7 is BAR. About 39 psi.

Should be on the inside of your fuel cap underneath the ice scraper- which you can sort of see through.

thanks so much. i get it.. flippin bars. jees. Thanks for help

I’ll admit that, mentally, I still work in psi, but I think it’s fairly normal to see bar quoted.  It is bar (and no psi) in the handbook and on the vehicle plate of my Mercedes-Benz (RHD and UK spec) motorhome - and that was made in 2001!  All 4 of my tyre gauges, and the electric tyre pump, all read in bar as well as psi.

2.7 Bar is the ECO pressure and gives a rock hard jarring ride. Unless your travelling loaded which requires a higher pressure the 2.4-2.5 Bar ( 35Psi ) is fine.

thanks.  I went for 2.7 for some extra mpg. Plus if it gets colder they will loose a bit of pressure anyway. I'll let a little air out if the tyres start to get worn in the centre though.
