Columbus / iPhone

Featured Replies

Hi

i got My 2009 Yeti today. It has a Columbus head unit. I can connect My iPhone XS Max for phone but not for streaming music etc.

i read somewhere on here about replacing the Bluetooth module.

any help with this would be gratefully received

thanks

Whereabouts are you? If you're near me I'll take a look and see what you have and see if I have a replacement.

Been looking around. Is it a 7P6035730 that I need?

is this a straight plug in to the existing cables?

also they sometimes have a final letter e.g. c or j does this matter?

cheers

That's close to the correct part number, but depending on what phone you have it might make a difference. Also, you'll likely need a new harness between the Columbus and the Bluetooth module under the driver's seat. If you have no Bluetooth streaming At the moment then you'll only have single channel audio between them, and you need two channels for stereo.

I'm too far away in North Yorks really.

Ok

thats a shame.

would a photo help or do You know what I need?

I'm not too clued up on what phones do what with which Bluetooth module as it's not something I use. With 32Gb SD card capacity, 18Gb hard drive space in the Columbus, and 8.5Gb DVD capacity, I find there are easier ways to listen to music

Ok. Thanks anyway.

i think I’ll keep researching , do You know of any other forum members that know anything?

Both the part number and prefix are important.

To start with, I'd suggest you find the existing BT module and post it's part number. It will probably be under one of the front seats. Once that's done, we can suggest some replacements.

I can probably help with coding to make sure the new one is correctly fitted. It *might* need an extra wire between the headunit and BT module to get both audio channels.
