As said, the first time I has them (Mk1 Seat Leon Cupra R) they were brilliant.......nicely lowered, improved the standard ride and made a big difference to handling.

I know i then had them on two more cars but can only remember one, but do remember all the above never materialised.

It did make me question whether they were genuine Eibachs on the second car though as they were bought brand new via eBay UK but we're from a Polish dealer selling at a good enough reduction to make a difference, but not great enough to question authenticity.

Anyway, mine's being left at the garage tomorrow for fitting Monday so we'll see!

Btw, decision made and my wheels were ordered today after luckily getting a good discount. Ispiris won for me in the end as they were always my preferred choice as they sound like a quality product.

I see. Well you've gone for them already so we should soon see the results, don't forget to update us with photos and impressions of the ride! Not sure I am going to lower mine till I put some nice sticky 245 tires on (Pirellis will be going right away together with the Supernovas) and see how the arches look with the bigger tires on but if I do, Eibachs are still top of my list for the moment. For the time being I've settled on sticking with my beloved wheels and fixing the offset issue with hubcentric spacers as you suggested.

Good choice going for the Ispiris, nice design and no comparison between their quality and the JRs   You've got a fair few photos to share with us...

Sounds like the best option was staring you in the face all along :D, sometimes it just takes a nudge from someone else to get you there, and if I helped so be it .

It's interesting you say the 19" Pretorias weigh 9 .6kg as my 8.5x20's are only 10kg.....or is that with the tyre?

I'm not sure my computer skills and patience are compatible with posting photos, but I'll try .

Wheels don't come until next Friday as that was the first day I could be in for the courier, and then I'm considering having them ceramic coated before they go on my car, but I'll see!

Yeah, as you say the solution was right in front of me, I wonder what I was thinking, maybe convincing that spacers will not cause any issues!

10kg with tire for a 19" is out of this world, usually a 19" tire alone is close or above that value so think over 20kg for the complete wheel! It's just that your Ispiris are a lightweight wheel too (in fact very lightweight!). The Pretorias are also flow formed and made by Borbet. I would imagine that conversely, the load index of the Ispiris must be a bit lower than the Prets as they are a fancy aftermarket item for conscious buyers, while the Prets were made as an OEM wheel for VW and need to include a fair bit of strength reserves for all sorts of abusing customers around the world so you might want to keep an eye over those potholes you've got there.

Ceramic sounds like a good idea, if you can accept not mounting them as soon as possible (there's always that...)

Hi,

Based on the reply from @SummersetBoy 's dealer  and also the German Skoda website they'll most probably be black. Hopefully my dealer will look at this again and be able to confirm it too so no more anthracite worries...
