1.9 TDI BXE camshaft

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Through on-line research, I think my 133k 1.9 TDI BXE engine is showing the symptoms of camshaft wear.

Does anybody know of a trusted and competent mechanic near the Medway Towns that would be able to confirm my diagnosis and rectify the problem.

Regards

Paul

I had a worn cam shaft at c. 140k and went to a guy near Sevenoaks. He did the timing belt and water pump at Tue same time and I think it was £1,100.

I can look the name of the place up if you wish?

Best

Yes please, thank you. although I won't be needing cambelt and pump changed as they're fairly new!

Thank you for your replies.  I've had the camshaft replaced by a local garage.  I supplied the camshaft kit which I bought from Darkside Developments.  Total cost was £800

Best wishes

Paul
