My Turbo is junk

Featured Replies

Had my turbo replaced today, I knew it was leaking oil and noisy, but I didn’t realise it was so badly worn......

Ouch, that poor turbo's seen better days! How many miles had it done at the time of replacement?

118k and 16 years old, I’ve just given the engine a major overhaul, done the Turbo, feed pipes, had the sump off for a clean, new oil pick up, also did the cam belt, tensioner, water pump and Aux drive belt, plus plugs, oil/filter and coolant , she’s now set for a few more miles...

Ohh and I had to replace the downpipe/cat, because I found the flexi joint to be in a poor state and blowing...

Can i ask where you got your replacement turbo from ?

Thank you

How much did that overhaul cost in parts(without the turbo)? Also where? UK? I am planning on getting a Skoda 1.8t or VRS and plan to do that overhaul once I have my hands on it just to be safe.
