To clarify:  

Car windscreens have a plastic layer bonded between two layers of glass and this blocks all the UVB and 80 per cent of the UVA, making sunburn very unlikely.

Side glass on most cars isn’t laminated only the front screen 

if you buy a high end Merc or bmw, Audi it my have laminated side windows

That all makes sense and I understand the thermal glass piece but the brochure also says the family pack is "privacy glass" - which seems to be shown in the pictures kindly provided before.
