Meets.

Featured Replies

Right Ladies, Gentlemen and others I have a Question.

Is anyone willing to organsise some meets around the SE area other than the regular meets:

Ace Cafe - Last tuesday of the month

Ashford american Diner - Last Saturday of the month

Basingtoke - Normally a thusday every 2 months.

Now I have been given an idea for a London - Brighton run, but want more (and the people to organise it as I only know a small area of E.London and Essex). They can be journeys or Pub meeets or day out somewhere.

we need a bit more of a spread around the area, especially as we are close to nice weather to make a good day out possible.

If people have ideas either post a thread and see how it goes or PM me for help if you are not too sure, I would be happy to help in the organising, but I will not take control of meets (especially in places I do not know), so not just ideas unless you are willing to organise the meet. I know it sounds lazy, but there is no point me organising a meet in Oxford if I've never been there, although if I have an idea of the place I will be happy to help with suggestiongs of meeting places, etc.

What about the PistonHeads meet at Snetterton Race Circuit at the end of April.

It is going on while the 2CV 24 Hour race is happening.

YEAH :D Do the Brighton Run I would like to go there never been

Make it a Saturday mind :D

All I can say is go with it and see who's up for it, sounds good.

I did L2B with the Smart club a while ago, they make a real big event of it.

If you need any help with anything Jeff let me know.

ahhh good ole london 2 brighton...

us mini's do one each year - we rent out crystal palace for the morning and maderia drive is shut down - we literally take over :)

doubt we'd ever get the numbers for a VAG l2b :(

Just come back from a quick meet up with some of the lads from the Seat Car Club on Portsdown Hill (remember that day when we got totally soaked up there!) and it was mentioned that maybe we could have a joint meet in the summer. Paint Ball, Briskoda vs SCC, could be a possibility but depends on the reaction from here whether we want to involve ourselves with another forum. I am happy to provide assistance Roo if you need it, PM me if you want to talk about it.

Well, what I am asking in this thread is not only ideas, but for the people to carry them out if possible as there is no point me organising a meet in a part of the country I know nothing about.

So if you think it could be a goer, then go for it and see who's interested.

L2B run sounds a good idea

I am going to be looking into it over the next few days.

I thought I'd post in here just in case, but As far as I am concerned Briskoda peeps are always welcome to the SCC (seatcarclub - formerly SeatEnthusiasts) meets that we now have regularly in the Portsmouth area - Makefish mentioned it above, and we are definately going to give a joint meet a go. See how things pan out. We currently meet on the last Sunday of every month at the Churchillian, but usually move on from there to Bowlplex, port solent, gunwharf or the seafront etc.

I just thought i'd say it - i know you'll probably want your own meets as well, but don't foget you are more than welcome to attend - just let me know what your intentions are :D

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but thought it might be relevant :)

No worries, I know a few of the bods from SE. Feel free to post a thread about the meet.

I personally have no problem about other car owners coming along, the more the merrier. If you see a meet here that you may want to post on SE to drum up more interest, just pm me for the ok (which should be a problem) and off you go.
