Jabbaing my Furby VRS

Featured Replies

OK - given that I won't be on 2 wheels as soon as I thought http://www.briskoda.net/forums/showthread.php?t=50195 - and yes at 38 I'm in a mid life crisis - I'm probably going to take the plunge. Have the money saved up for finishing bike training (won't be used till next year at this rate) so I have cash burning a hole in my pocket.

After yesterdays drama I drove to Jabba (quite hard to find - in an old barn opposite Crowland Garden centre - Come on guys get a bigger sign up. Once inside place itself was awesome. Not at all like I expected.

Have been quoted

Had mine re-mapped by Jabba for some 25k+ now. No problems as such.

Clutch can slip if you push from too low down in the rev range, also it can be abit more smokey.

Do a search as the usual issue have be covered a fair bit.

Also might be worth noting that there is a re-map GB with one-click and jabba have just finished a GB (pm me about it)

I thought there was a group buy in progress on here. PM Mike (flatfourburble) for any info. :)

loads on here have used Jabba. Only thing to watch out for is clutch slip. But seeing your having a mid life crisis get them to fit a sachs clutch, they have them in stock.;) Then get a custom remap to take advantage of the increase in torque your clutch can take. :D

I was at Jabba all day yesterday! Didnt see you there mate! (I was the big asian dude) lol

Were you sitting on the sofa's in upstairs reception. I was asking about the remaps and mentioning insurance sometime between 2 - 3 pm (looks like I may be able to sort today).

Yours wasn't the blue 06 VRS octy by any chance?

John was it the new octi vRS?

If so that is wayne's new car, wont post his user name incase he doesn't want people to know yet.

Yup it was (06 Plate) in blue.

Needed a wash though

Jabbasport are a reputable tuner & have been tuning forced induced VAG vehicles for years.

Mine was remapped exactly a year ago & with 15K+ miles on it, the clutch is starting to slip @ max torque areas, especially in the higher gears.

With a remap, it's on it's limit of transferable torque.

The price you have been quoted sounds like the generic map.

You won't get this on the gb but you will pay
