wireless charging

Featured Replies

hey guys

is there a way of turning off the wireless charging (for cars which have it) ?

is there a option somewhere or button?

I'm not too sure about the answer but curious to know why you'd want to do it - even if your phone didn't support it?

If you're that desperate try taking out the fuse? But that may affect something else as well.

reason being, i was reading the manual and if you leave metallic items in the charing area..they might get hot.....or the wireless charging field might damage other things like credit cards etc.

i've noticed on the kia cerato car there is a button to turn it off.

in the skoda all i could find is a fuse, which disables wireless charging but also disabled the "antenna/gsm" booster option

Just have to use some discipline then and learn not to put stuff on it.

It's just like NOT putting a credit card or season ticket in your mobile phone flip case, it'll do the same thing.

i was thinking more along the lines of putting a wallet there...or some else does...without realising there is wireless charging there.

Put your wallet etc in the centre armrest or glove box out of sight and safe.
