Columbus - home screen, POIs and radio logos

Featured Replies

Skoda newbie here again. Loving it so far- even though it was it not that grippy in the snow.

Can anyone help out with these questions:

1) can the home screen “screen when the home button is pressed” be customised? At the minute the screen is split into 3. The navigation screen occupies most of the screen with the telephone and radio screens also appearing. Is there away to change this aswhen you you plug in the phone for car play the phone window becomes redundant.

2) Are there any good links to UK POIs such as speed cameras, red ligh cameras and anything else I should have.

3) where can I get logos for radio stations so they are the correct sizes and what’s the best way to get this onto the Columbus?  (and same question for logos for my own POIs)

4) what’s your favourite feature of the Columbus and what have you added that everyone should know about?

Thanks in advance. Been here a week and can see this is the best advice forum.

Hello, there is a guide on here’s about adding custom POIs to your Satnav, specifically speed cameras. I have done it but I didn’t find it easy.  It is done using an ad card and the Skoda update portal. On that site you can also download dab station logos which you can import to your Columbus. Hope this helps.

Use Waze it shows Speed cameras and more, even Pot Hole warnings

Yes but only in the MIB versions from May 2015.

Won't work on the older RNS-510 if that's what you're thinking ;-)
