Take it easy and don't push it too hard to start with! Very tempting, but stick to the running in procedure and you will reap the benefits later. Mine flies now!

Yep just the same thoughts when I was waiting to pick up mine. As usual, don't forget to check around the car - before driving away, as the clutch pedal alloy trim rubber missing! After having it two weeks, I had some work done to re-fit the passenger air vent today.

I have to complement my dealer (Williams Skoda, Bristol) how they dealt with these issues quickly. The courtesy car was a fabia saloon SDi, is that a non-turbo diesel unit as it was very slow to pull of from a standing start.

Anyway, enjoy your moment!

As said, be sure to check over the car beforehand - put off that eagerness to get out and drive it, for just a little while at least. And also be sure to run it in good and proper too.

And the SDI is non turbo, and is very slow. It has the torque, but the inability to actually increase in speed. It just sits at the same speed, never slowing, never accelerating. (a bit unfair to the sdi, methinks)

The car's AMAZING!!!!

trying to keep it below 3K for the first while. Took the girlfriend to check it all over, dosent seem to be any problems.

Well, apart from the fact that whatever I had for dinner made me veryyyy sick last night and I still feel a bit dodgy justnow - not what you need when you've just picked up a powerfull car!!!

Just don't chuck up all over the inside! Not a good start to vRS ownership. I feel so lucky that I've got an asbestos digestive system and it takes a lot to make me ill. I think my record is about 10 boiled eggs, and no probs at all!

Glad you like the car! I'm going to be keeping everyone in suspense when I get mine Jabbad because I won't be able to post the results until about 3 days after it's done. In fact, the first people to know will be everyone attending the Midlands meet in Derby.

I've also managed to get myself a Furby vRS. Managed to get hold of one with no wait at all! Was anticipating having to wait till March, however I'm picking it up next weekend! Had a look at it today, in Silver, very nice, got cruise on it as well. :-) I'm one happy boy. This week is going to draaaaggg..

Yeah, I fancy a nice set of 17's but the G/F's not so sure about the look or the money - she feels the 16's are fine.

BUT - the windows are being tinted 2 weeks on thursday - pentagon supaglass smoke all over. Will try and post some pictures once it is done.

Oh yeah and when I collected the car the dealer informed me, with a nudge and wink that if it was to be re-mapped no-body would notice (or at least they woudnt!!) He seems to have met a certain member of this forum at the Scottish Motor Show and was very impressed with his Fabia.

Cost involved with that means it will have to wait - but hopefully not for too long!!
