Fabia 1.9 tdi

does getting a remap casue warning lights to come on?

It shouldn't do, but the age of Fabia you're looking at, it shouldn't be an issue anyway. It seems the ECU was made more sensitive when the vRS came out....

Have you seen or been in contact with Devonmike at all?? I know he's got the A3 Quatrro now???

For durability of components, the turbo and injectors on the PD130 are bigger/stronger, etc, so if you were to bolt these to the pd100 engine, you could get a safe 160bhp+ by just mildly pushing those 2 components, and the engine will cope fine with it. This is compared to pushing the VNT-15 turbo to its limits and maxing out the pd100 injectors which in the long run will not be so good.

Personally for a "safe" tune up in the long run, I would source out the pd130 turbo & injectors first. :)

Devonmikeyboy does indeed have a A4 quattro now, but he was smacked up the ar5e by a rover a couple of days ago, so its already been tainted. Guy's had no car luck recently. :(

never met him, only joined the forum bout 1 week ago, im still struggling to sell my 93 honda civic, spent over

why not try and trade it in against a PD100 at a stealers and get a nice finance package for a newer revised shape one. That way you could have what you want now and it won't be OTT on the repayments. Speak to them, you'd be suprised mate.

Nah, going to university this year, dont want to start any finance. im sure summin will come up, although i was thinking of using my student loan to get a newer shape. but that would not be sensible one thinksicon7.gif

Fair comment, good luck with the purchase. I'm sure you'll find something for your budget that will be cheap & easy to mod and won't have hundreds of thousands of miles on the clock.

Keep us posted.

A car for Uni?! Are you mad. Student loans are for beer :P:rofl:
