A bit of an improvement I hope you'll agree courtesy of a KW Variant 1 coilover package. Its a little lower at the back as the old suspension components are in the boot along with stuff for a weekend away. I know people will probably say slam it further - the front is actually at the maximum height KW recommend, it could go down another inch - but with the roads around Sheffield being what they are, I think I'm happy at that.

A big thank you to Demon Tweeks for suppling and fitting them, its a very professional setup as you'd probably imagine and I can still hardly believe the price, including Briskoda's 10% discount the KWs fitted and aligned set me back

Saw it today and its looking a lot better now its been lowered a bit, agree that it looks fine as it is and there's no need to lower it anymore, don't want to put a whole in your sump now do you ;)

Nah, Still way too high, drop it down the extra inch, you'll still have loads of clearance:thumbup:

Looking good

To my eye it looks about the same height as an Octy vRS - any lower and you may encounter problems with speed humps so I'd recommend sticking to that height

Tempting but I fear for the sump!

Aye, the front is the same height, I measured Rich1068s. The rear is a little lower. I think i'll adjust it to make them level, once they've had a chance to settle in a bit.

Ah, thats you is it Dom, you cheeky monkey! Away back to ukmkivs with you!

thanks for the info one the KWs

mine is slammed on KW V2's so i have so far cracked the sump and had it repaired then ****ted it a couple more times but not broken it and clanged nearly every part of the underside on the ground including subframes, strut brace, exhaust (middle, rear and cat) and probably a few more i haven't noticed. must raise it sometime :o

Could you put some figures on that for me mate i.e. what is too low? I've just measured mine and its 26 inches from floor to the lip of the arch (in the centre).

And again,

:D

told you it was low ;)

Both look nice. Bengie's sure is low, looks the business though.

I think half way between the 2 would be ideal.

:iagree:

when i get the time and inclination i'm going to raise mine a little bit :)

Bengie - what alloys are those?? 17 or 18" ??

Both cars are looking good! I agree that somewhere between the two would be the ideal height.

The front and rear should be the same height if possible... If not, the rear should be slightly higher for a bit of rake B)
