hi 

first post . Got MK1 1.4 and cant knock it until the other morning . NO WARNING LIGHTS but sounds like snapped Cambelt simply wont start , Took it to guy who does my fixing and Cambelts are fine so towed and started but runs as rough as Evertons season so far so slightly stumped . Any Heads up advice going to  change Belt and Waterpump anyway ,

Problem solved !!

Was it the water pump?

Or unrelated?

Think Water Pump needed replacing but Car sounds like new now
