Just wondering can 5E0 919 605 M be retrofitted without any coding or are these screens locked with component Protection?

Screens are not CP locked, they are just screens. What radio do you have now?

This is the current one in the car 

Does the radio have a CD drive? Or does it just have 2 SD slot? If you have 2 SD slots and a CD drive then it’s a MIB1 and the new screen won’t work. If you have 2 SD slots and no CD drive then it’s a MIB2 and the new screen will work. The APP button won’t do anything but you’ll be able to get the traffic menu up in the main menu anyway.

I am replacing my MIB 2 screen with this model 5e0919605M. I think I can take the old trim from columbus screen and put it on this new one

This is part number: 40879467AB. Question is: can it be ordered?

I found from others on here that this part cannot be ordered separately or found very easily as is.

 

I bought a screen from a breaker on ebay and didn't notice it wasn't there. Luckily i was able to message them and it was still in the car! Maybe try this route?

 

If not then i think you will have to find a broken version of the screen (or another in the same line i would have thought) and take the piece from that.

 

You might even have luck messaging someone on ebay and asking to specifically buybthat piece of plastic for 30 quid or so, i dunno, but would be cheaper than the broken/dodge screen.

Are you sure? Does fit to Columbus Mib2? Because i have bought from ebay and i don't know if it's working... 

I want to make a retrofit bolero mib1 to Columbus mib 2. And i have bought first the display unit and after the head unit.

No. Columbus mib 2,5 is working with 9,2 display

Columbus mib2 works with all 8" displays

Is there any adaptor for the radio as my original one has a white antenna connector and new one has blue one or have bought the wrong radio
