Amundsen + Quad socket

Featured Replies

Have a Blackline and was planning on loom install for phone mic, thought I best double check the DIN style plug before ordering. On removal discovered I have no spare ways for the phone loom! Have removed light, cubby box to look for loom/mic already installed but nothing there.

Could anyone shed any light as to what these looms are for as lack of hands free is annoying. Phone loom would normally fit bottom left on image.

The mic normally connects to pin 1 and 7 in the black connector (lower left). Are you saying there are already pins connected there?

It's unusual that the loom isn't wrapped in tape, could this be an extension loom or something like that?

Sorry wasn’t aware that the mic was only 2 pins... will have to remove head unit and check again.

Not sure if looms could be extensions of any sort don’t have any add on’s like multichanger or amps

It's not a standard quadlock connector by the look of things, as the plug colours are wrong. I'd suspect as Langers says that it's an extension which has been added in at some point. Follow the wires back about 10 inches and you might find the original, then simply push your mike plug into that.
