Rear wash wipe on estate

Featured Replies

Having changed from a Mk2 to a Mk3 I thought they might have improved this. They haven’t - it’s still crap!

I have no experience of the mk2, but you’ve summed up the mk3 quite well :D

Mine worked and sounded like an ice scraper when I got the car second hand a couple of weeks ago.

Changed the rear wiper blade with one from Halfords and sweetness and silence ensued.

How the previous driver put up with it for two years defeats me.

When I bought my Superb, one of the few things which annoyed me was the rear wiper/washer performance. I bought a cheap twin nozzle from Ebay, cut off the tube bit to leave just the head, drilled out the hole to enlarge it enough and stuck that over the existing nozzle (I used some caravan sealant/adhesive which I had handy). It's still not perfect but a vast improvement on the original.

It would have helped if the cheapskates had fitted two nozzles in the first place!

I might try that when my new car arrives. It’s not worth bothering with the current one for (hopefully) just a few weeks.
