What is the minimum internal width of the Superb III estate boot

Featured Replies

Hi First post!  I  have just bought a Superb III estate which I am picking up in 2 weeks.  I need to get a cage for my dog, otherwise she will mess it up quickly.  What is the minimum internal width of the boot, so I can buy the correct size cage.

Thanks a lot!

Copied from a previous thread so not sure of accuracy, Mrs still at work so can't measure yet.

Estate boot is 1170mm long, 1000mm wide (between wheel arches). Height is 580mm to parcel shelf & 800mm to roof - that's without variable boot floor.

Just checked sizes are correct ;)

Great, thanks a lot!

Don't make the mistake I made on a previous car when I used the internal dimensions of the back of an XC60 to order a cage for the dogs and couldn't get the cage in. The crucial measurements may be the door aperture to get the cage in and out.

Good point, thanks.  In that case can anyone confirm the actual width of the door aperture in the Mk III Superb?

I don't know the door aperture width I'm afraid, but I can confirm that I managed to squeeze the Variocage double xl into mine. The dimensions are:

Double X Large   810-1030mm length
31.5" - 40.5"
990mm width
39"
715mm height
28"
36kg weight

Great thank, the one I bought is 910 x 580 x 640 so should be no problem.

Can you post the model? Have to get a smaller cage for my Weimaraner as the one she is currently in takes up 2/3 of the boot.  I cannot find a cage that is about 900 in depth 550 in width and about 600-6500 in height.

Looks like you've overdone the snowfoam @Tobeornototbe...:D

My dog loved to catch a frisbee, too. And I know why you have multiple frisbees. :D
