DSG Box in Slow Traffic

Featured Replies

Octavia 2014 SE 2.0 TDi DSG

Doe's anyone know why in slow traffic my DSG box sometimes is a bit jerky when you take up power and always drive in Normal Mode.

Would it be best to go over to Sports Mode in slow traffic seems a lot better on take up and doesn't Jerk so much as Normal Mode.

Or do I have a Major Problem

Cheers Chris

If you have an issue putting in 'S' can certainly help when crawling along and keeping it in 1st and not trying to go to 2nd on light throttle, or staying in 2nd if going a bit quicker.

Has your DSG had an oil change if at 40,000 miles or more?

Had a DSG oil and filter Change at 30,000 miles but looking back and in Engine bay there no signs of it being done as they are suppose to Remove Battery and Tray but bolts all look new no signs on being undone. Did enquire at last service with Murray Skoda Plymouth and they said you can change filter from under the car but I think there pulling a fast one me self.

I switch to 's' in most slow traffic. Hate the feeling that the clutch is slipping 2nd when it could be just turning the gearbox over in 1st. I'm sure testing has been carried out but it makes me feel better.

Does anyone know if a g'box flash can up the change point of 1st in normal?
