Audi Throttle response

Featured Replies

Last night using OBDEleven I recoded the throttle response by changing byte 00 in Engine module to 'Audi' as I'd read on the Superb forum that it dramatically improved the throttle response. Having test driven the car I was very happy with the result....that was until I realised that in doing so it had completely disabled my Cruise Control....DOH!

Does anyone know how this can be avoided or is this simply a case of not being able to have your cake and eat it?

I did the same with vcds so reverted back as it was preferable to have the cruise control working.

Yep, I've reverted back but would really like to have both LOL

As you have lane assist and TSR I assume you have radar cruise or whatever its called?  I think I remember this being an issue for others who tried the audi mod.  Mine works ok but I have old style manual cruise.

Granted that I was trying this on my Leon which has normal cruise just like yours but the car is of an age where adaptive cruise had only just become speccable - December 2017.

Well now, here's the thing...….I do have lane assist and TSR which means my car has a high spec camera and radar....BUT I have normal (basic) cruise control and NOT adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). Confused? Join the club! LOL

Try to configure:

44 - steering assist

adaptions

driving profile switchover

 - you should have  - incremental over time and set it to Direct controlled over threshold value.

This will set the accelerator pedal to work instant as you press it with that threshold, and not increase over time. This will make you feel the power instant.

just to clear something up, the mod would increase throttle response without any secondary issues on a car with no ACC, is that correct ?

I shall try this, probably tomorrow now, and feed back

That suggests you don't have an official cable so beware with any coding that you do as it's a case of tuorum perculo!

Unofficial VCDS cables don't normally show the access codes hence my mistake! :blush

Just buy yourself a DTUK Pedalbox, you can move it VAG car to car & set it up as you wish.
