Central locking not working and now i can't open the back two doors or the boot

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just have a standard key for my fabia 2010, previously when i unlocked the drivers door it would unlock all other doors and when i lock the drivers door it would lock all others. The drivers door would then have a red light flashing.

However, now the central locking isnt working. When i lock the car, only the drivers door locks, so using the key i can access the drivers and passenger door, however, the 2 back seat doors and the boot are locked and i cant seem to be able to open them - even from within the car.

The central locking buttons within the car also now do not work, they do not light up when pressed

Please can someone suggest a reason for this, it just happened randomly last night

Many thanks

Louis

Sounds like its possibly broken wires in the drivers door loom......

Peel back the rubber boot on the pillar side at the drivers door, do this by pushing down on the top (it has a clip there) and if needed use a blunt tool to assist.

If you find broken wires, this will be your problem, you can repair, but its fiddly.....I would suggest a new loom.
