Chassis torționari stiffness

Featured Replies

A rear stiffened anti roll bar would help keep it a bit flatter round the corners, I'm moving up from a tuned 2.5l turbo focus pushing 420+ bhp through the front wheels, the focus has a few hardrace items on the chassis too, and on my two test drives of the superb I thought it handled well for its size, not as good as the focus but not a million miles away,

I am not convinced OP can feel the chassis flex on a public road, twisty or not. What I guess is @gigolea wants better body control. That means some sort of anti roll bar and suspension combo that works better.

IMHO it handles not better than a basic Ford focus.

Few cars are. The Fiesta and Focus have a damn fine steering setup IME.  Ford know how to set a car up, in that regard.

The Mondeo has lost its way a little. The best of all the big cars I tried was the Mazda 6; like a big MX5

Who buys a Superb and then installs a rear chassis brace, reducing its practicality at the same time?:wondering:

+1

A bit like the person who spends a fortune on fitting airbags but who doesn’t bother changing the discs?

The Mazda 6 is offered as 4x4 only as a diesel estate

As you are aware the rear discs wearing like this are not down to poor use, just poor quality parts used, I didn’t see anywhere where I said he didn’t care,

but clearly if he has gone to the trouble of uprating the fronts, then painted the rear callipers and fitted new pads to crap rear discs it shows how much he cares about the rear discs.
