Do I have the "Information Display" option?

Featured Replies

I've just taken delivery of a new Fabia vRS. When I test drove, I thought I had the instrument cluster: information display fitted. When I took delivery - no display.

Can anyone tell me the code to look for on the build sticker which confirms or denies whether the feature is fitted?

The dealer says I'm dreaming (of course) ... but the missus swears black and blue she saw it too.

Many thanks.

little red thingy in Wellington, New Zealand:)

Do you mean the maxi dot?

In the UK the only Fabias fitted with maxidot would be ones with the sat nav, did the demo car have that?

SatNav is required for MaxiDot & it's a very expensive option.

Thanks for the reply. No, I don't have satnav. What's maxidot?

On the standard vRS you have a display with the onboard computer readouts for MPG etc.

Maxidot is a dot-matrix display which is a bit bigger and shows that info + some more, and it is driven by the SatNav unit (only).

If you wanted to retrofit this it would be pretty expensive as well. You could buy the SatNav on ebay for about 1000 GBPish, but you'd need a new dashpod (with MaxiDot fitted) and it would have to be coded to the car so still gonna hurt your wallet :(
