Skoda Vision iV. Introducing the production model as early as 2020.

Featured Replies

Next year the Skoda boss says for the Introduction of the production model.  We will see then when they can open order books then deliver them..

Looking good. 83kWh battery and 300 miles range is much better than likes of I-Pace and E-Tron, where they get 90kWh battery and can only achieve 250-280 miles range. Still a way off Tesla Model 3 LR with 75kWh battery getting 300 miles range, but we are getting there.

Just wish they remove the offensive grill, EV doesn't need this anymore. There's a whole world of creative freedom without the grill.

What amazes me is that while VW or Audi can not produce enough single motors to get vehicles produced and satisfy demand Skoda can get 2 motors for a single vehicle while they still have not revealed the Single motor City Car.

The Elephant in the room is can VW Group get enough motors and batteries and get customers satisfied with being able to order and get delivery of vehicles they want to purchase.

The other Car manufacturer building in the Czech Republic are so far ahead showing production ready Hybrids & EV's and giving them a 7 year / 150,000 km warranty.

Wondering how much this is going to cost, looks perfect for what I'm looking for in a car.

Looks great, but will the dog fit in the boot? Interior is amazing, but will you get the kids in? Not sure VAG will have an electric family car I'll want with their first round of offerings.

Autoexpress should ask.

When can customers get a e-Citigo since petrol engine ones production is stopping soon.

When does the order books open on the Mk4 Octavia or what ever car can be delivered later this year?

When will there be Mk3 Fabia MY20 details available as vehicles no longer showing on the configurator as with other models?

My dealership told me that they will open up for orders by the end of the year with delivery next year already.

I'll be amazed if that interior makes it to production.

'Simple Clever'

Skoda will fit skanky looking badges at production (pre corroded) so that Warranty Claims are reduced on having to replace them.

(How many years ago did they knock this car together. Are the brake discs already showing surface rust or actual scoring?)

Did someone find a storage shed full of Allegro steering wheels they could refinish as well as bonnet badges?

George,

Good too read that your Skoda enthusiasm has never died. lol

I think the badge lights up rather than being "corroded" George...

Still surprised how quiet this thread is, and the electric car forum in general is also.

Anyway, looks like no 'suicide doors' and B pillar removal, also video rear view camera is doubtful (think we probably guessed this). Shame about the suicide doors and with it the possibilty of 'captain's chairs'.

I'll be ordering one if the price is competitive, I've seen guestimates of 35k after PICG for the 306bhp AWD version, but that seems doubtful to me.

Norwegian, use your browser translate option if your Norwegian is as rusty as mine https://www.elbil24.no/biler/bekreftet-vision-iv-far-hengerfeste-og-fem-seter/71390881

I think there would be more activity on this thread if there was anything concrete to talk about. That Norwegian piece is fluff, re-hashing information that has been out there a couple of months.

Well, there was some info in there I hadn't been aware of before. Hopefully we'll soon get actual new information if the article I linked to is disappointing.

It wasn't a poke at you, just I find the EV evangelists on the inter-webs constantly repeat and re-hash information to make it look like something is happening. (or get more Patreon money) The manufacturers are the worst for this, trailing the same promises over and over for years until a car finally comes out (Model 3, ID.3, Taycan etc) - at least Skoda have not been guilty of this! ;)

The Norwegian article states that the Vision iV is confirmed to have both five seats and a tow bar.

Yes, the tow bar was news to me. That might be a Norwegian thing, though, perhaps hitches are more popular over there?

Yes its a BIG thing here, and I actually dont know why. We ordered it on our car, not that I needed one but because its impossible to sell the car without it.

I've never owned a car with a tow bar, but thought for the next one is might be handy as I'm a bit of a hoarder, my garage and house is full of rubbish that would be easy to get rid of if I had a little trailer!

guys, is there someone living in Norway who preodered Vision? Is there any update on when they gonna start deliveries? Related question.... I have a friend living in Norway. Is it worth asking him to pre order and buy Skoda Vision SUV and then bring it to Switzerland or it's better to wait when it will be available in the rest of Europe? What are pros and cons of this approach?

We are starting deliveries in 2020, more specific than that is difficult to be.

I dont think its any point of ordering from Norway at this point, thousands has preordered so you will be far behind.

Can it be ordered now? I did not realise the car was announced complete with specs. and prices. Is there a link to the page where it can be ordered? I'm interested as this might be affordable to me to replace the Karoq when it comes to the UK, but I don't see definite production specs anywhere?

No only preordering.

We still dont know specs or prices.
