Brake disc size

Featured Replies

Hi all, is it possible.to check brake disc size from reg/chassis number or do i have to go old school and actually measure them?

Looking at rrplacements and there seems to be 312 or 345 mm. Im guessing the 288mm are rears.

Cheers

Many thanks gizmo

The problem is that it's usually only the rear brake code that's printed on that label.

If it's any version of the 2.0 TDI then it probably has 312 x 25 mm disks on the front.

I can’t remember my MKII sticker, but on my MKIII if definitely lists the front and rear brakes.

The front brake disc PR code is often missing from the build sticker in the spare wheel well and/or service book.

Use this, it's great!

Covered quite a few times on this forum, see my homemade disc measurer!...
